2010 General Information * Please read all information below

IMPACT Clinic

 

The following coaching certification is required: 

ALL coaches listed on the Event Roster (Head and/or Assistant(s)) will possess a minimum coaching certification level of IMPACT (Entry Level). An IMPACT certified coach (head coach, assistant or other adult) listed on the Event Roster must be present and on the bench at all times.

 

If you are interested in receiving IMPACT certification, a clinic will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center on Friday, April 16, 2010 & Thursday, April 22, 2010.  Both Clinics are from 6:00 PM- 11:00 PM with Check-in beginning at 5:30 PM.  Please do not be late. 

 

You can register online in your Club Console for NCVA region teams.  For out of region teams, you can click on register for events on the homepage of the NCVA website.

 

April 16, 2010 IMPACT Clinic

If you register for the IMPACT clinic by April 7th for the April 16th IMPACT Clinic, you will be charged a $60 registration fee and are guaranteed to have materials at the clinic.  Registrations after April 7th are not guaranteed materials at the clinic and the registration fee will be $80 for late registration or on site.

 

April 22, 2010 IMPACT Clinic

If you register for the IMPACT clinic by April 14th for the April 22nd IMPACT Clinic, you will be charged a $60 registration fee and are guaranteed to have materials at the clinic.  Registrations after April 14th are not guaranteed materials at the clinic and the registration fee will be $80 for late registration or on site.

 

No refunds if you do not attend the clinic.

 

 

Tournament Check-In

 

The Check-in (Tournament Desk) Desk is in the lobby of the Reno/Sparks Convention Center. Check-In will be on Friday, April 16, 2010 (1st Weekend) & Thursday, April 22, 2010 (2nd Weekend) between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.  This Check-In is for both AM and PM wave teams. 

 

Coaches with teams playing in the PM wave will have an additional Check-In

between 1:00 PM-2:00 PM

Saturday, April 17, 2010 for the April 17-19, 2010 Tournament

Friday, April 23, 2010 for the April 23-25, 2010 Tournament

 

Check-In is quick if you follow the prescribed procedures.

 

You will be required to complete a roster on-site and show proof of USAV memberships before your team is allowed to play in the tournament.

 

All coaches must carry their players’ Medical Release Forms with them at all times during the tournament.  You do not need to submit Medical Release forms to the NCVA staff at check-in.

Updating Team Results

 

The DEADLINE to update Team Results online is 9:00 AM on:

      Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - for April 17-19, 2010

      Monday, April 5, 2010 - for April 23-25, 2010

To provide the best tournament seeding, it is the responsibility of the club director and/or coach to report complete and accurate results data. 

 

 

Updating Rosters

 

The DEADLINE to update all Roster Information online is:

      Friday, April 2, 2010 for BOTH Weekends

All teams are required to provide current roster data and travel information about the team’s hotel, on-site coach, and team parent.  You will be able to print each form off after you register your team.

 

Please provide all of the required information for the printable roster:

Name

USA Volleyball Membership Number

Jersey Number

Position

 

Rosters must have USAV Membership Numbers to be VALID

 

Review the roster and be sure it is complete and correct, then print it.  Sign the roster and pack it to bring to check-in at the Far Western Tournament Desk.

 

Roster data will also be provided to University Athlete, the software used by college coaches who are recruiting at the Far Western.  It is in the best interests of potential college players for you to enter as much roster data as possible so that college coaches can see a complete profile of the players on your teams.

 

Updating Travel Information

 

You will be required to obtain the Hotel Information form from your Club Director login.  Please print off the form and fill it out.  You must bring it to Check-in.  If you are a local team, please still bring the form, fill it out and write under the Hotel #1 Local.

 

Coaches Meeting

 

There will not be a coaches meeting

 

Tournament Schedule

 

The entire tournament schedule and program will be posted online TBA.  Be sure to check the website just before departing from home in case there are any last minute formatting changes due to teams dropping or being added.

 

Coolers and Food

 

No coolers or outside food is allowed in the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.  This is a site requirement, so please pass this information on to your team parents who are traveling to the tournament.

 

USA Volleyball High Performance Info

 

USA Volleyball will be conducting High Performance tryouts on Friday night, April 16, 2010 & Thursday, April 22, 2010.  Time: 5:00-8:00 PM, checkin is at 4:00 PM. For more details, go to:

Parking

 

The Reno-Sparks Convention Center charges for parking with no in and out privileges.

 

Entry Fees / Registration Deadlines

$700 for all age divisions (Open & Club)

Registration Deadline: March 12, 2010 - no refunds after this date (Both Weekends) - teams will be accepted upon space availibility.  The fee for late registration will be $750.
